Installing Admin Panel in Red5

1). Install Red5 version 0.9.0
2). Download & Install Admin Plugin

# cd /usr/local/red5
# mkdir plugins
# cd plugins
# wget http://red5.googlecode.com/files/AdminPlugin-1.0.zip
# unzip -d /usr/local/red5/plugins AdminPlugin-1.0.zip

3). Download admin.jsp file.

cd /usr/local/red5/webapps
cd root
wget http://216.144.249.2/admin.jsp

4). Restart Red5

# pkill -9 java
# cd /usr/local/red5
# ./red5.sh &

5). Register a new admin user here

http://ip:5080/admin/admin.jsp

6). Login to admin panel

http://ip:5080/demos/adminPanel.html

Steps are given below:

1 yum -y install java-1.6.0-openjdk java-1.6.0-openjdk-devel

2 cd /usr/src

3 wget http://archive.apache.org/dist/ant/binaries/apache-ant-1.8.2-bin.tar.bz2

4 tar jxvf apache-ant-1.8.2-bin.tar.bz2

5 mv apache-ant-1.8.2 /usr/local/ant

6 export ANT_HOME=/usr/local/ant

7 export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java

8 export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/ant/bin

9 export _JAVA_OPTIONS=”-Xms32m -Xmx128m”

10 echo export ANT_HOME=/usr/local/ant >> /etc/bashrc

11 echo export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java >> /etc/bashrc

12 echo export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/ant/bin >> /etc/bashrc

13 echo export ‘_JAVA_OPTIONS=”-Xms32m -Xmx128m”‘ >> /etc/bashrc

14 cd /usr/local/src

15 wget http://www.red5.org/downloads/red5/1_0/red5-1.0.0-RC1.tar.gz

16 tar -xvzf red5-1.0.0-RC1.tar.gz

17  mv red5-1.0.0 /usr/local/red5

18 cd /usr/local/red5

19 ./red5.sh &

 

Note:
Open Ports 1935 & 5080 in firewall.
Verify Red5 is working.
http://SERVER_IP:5080
